Water gets in boot from open Tailgate

I've got a Vectra C hatchback, and when I open the boot when the cars wet I have noticed that water runs down the side of the window and half way down falls into the boot.

I've noticed a mention of this in another thread, but it was only in passing.

Does anyone know if its a know fault, is there a fix....... or do I have to put up with it.

i'm afraid its something you have to put up with, it's a complete pain and crappy design!

Had my hatchback a week now and with all this rain have noticed the same fault, think it might be a common problem on all hatchbacks?

mine only leaks on the left side though!

open the boot slightly and let it run off before fully opening is the only cure mate.

Or lift the boot a little and fling in your bags in under 3 seconds......

Davie, just make sure you don't get anything caught in the boot when you close it!!!!!!!!

Or a Signum!! They had the same problem on earlier models until they produced a field remedy to sort it out. Got mine done and no more wet boot contents!
