    Default XP2 lowered suspension

What would the suspension on a 2.8 elite with what appears to be the XP2 pack (?) - dark lights, 18 inch wheels, body kit and deffo lowered - is it just an SRi kit off the 3.0tdi or something special or the vxr springs and shox?

    Intrigued!

Also, could somebody please distinguish what XP1 and 2 are (am I right in thinking there were 2 levels?? ) as a lot of the later vecs seem to have a bit of a mix and match of skirts, wheels and lights.

The XP2 kit on facelift Vectra is the VXR sideskirts and rear bumper trim, and the upper VXR bumper with a slightly different lower splitter and grill setup. It also comes with the 18" multispoke alloys which give it the SRi suspension (15mm lower than standard Elite)

XP1 was the earlier incarnation of it, and featured the 19" snowflakes but the front bumper only had a stick-on lip spoiler. Not completely sure about the side skirts and rear bumper...

ah - so it is not that they were offered at the same time and one was the 'next step up' from the other or anything.

    XP Mk. 1 (now referred to as XP1) - 2006 - 2007
    XP Mk. 2 (now referred to as XP2) - 2007 - 2009

Both share same side-skirts rear spoiler and lower rear skirt.

If XP factory-fitted on an Elite it would also have had sports suspension fitted.

If retro-fitted, then it is possible that an Elite could still have factory-fitted standard suspension on it.

its factory fitted and has the dark front lights too (whats that all about?).

I question the suspension because there is no other factory lowered sport 2.8 except the vxr so I guess it is unique to this model (or the irmy kit??)

The dark lights were fitted as standard on cars with AFL, including the Elite, from 57 plates onwards I believe. The lowered suspension is fitted due to you having 18" alloys - in this case it'll be because of the Exterior pack being fitted (rare on the elites) but if the Elite was specified with ANY of the wheel upgrades, 18" or 19", from the factory, then it got the lowered sport suspension, regardless of the engine...
