Default Astra SRi 'Grey to Black' full paintwork correction and detail.

Did this for a friend of mine the weekend. He's not long bought it and wanted the paintwork correcting plus a full detail.

Paintwork was not too bad but just suffered from the usual swirl marks and scratches that show up so well on a black car!

Managed to correct the paintwork on Saturday and concentrate on the inside and engine bay on Sunday morning. The process and products used:

    Snowfoam and rinse.
APC all shuts, agitated and rinsed.
2 Bucket Wash with Megs Shampoo Plus and rinse.
Very Cherry Wheel cleaner on alloys.
    Clay, rinse and dry.
    Paint readings taken.
Correction with DA using Elite Coolfoam 3 and 6 inch Orange pads and Menzerna PO85.
    IPA wipedown and inspect.
Polished with Auto Glym SRP as love this on black, plus hides minor scratches.
Wax of choice was Lusso Oro.
Windows cleaned inside and out with 3D glass cleaner.
All plastics dressed with Valet Pro Protectant.
    Megs Endurance Tyre Gel.
Interior plastics dressed with Megs Trim Detailer.
Engine bay cleaned with APC, agitated, rinsed and dressed with Valet Pro Protectant.

Thanks for looking guys and welcome your comments.

    Paul.

Water just sitting on the paint, no protection at all.
