Default Grinding noise from the rear breaks

Hi all, I hope someone can advice me on my problem with my Vectra.

I have recently noticed a bad grinding sound coming from the rear wheels. It is quite evident on when I break from 30mph to 10mph. Also, when I start the car from cold sometimes it feels like the rear caliper sticks for a while. When the breaks worm up a bit after some driving the grinding noise reduces and its less obvious. I don't think I can hear any noise if I'm breaking from 70mph to 30mph, but as soon as the car start stopping the noise appears again.
I also, think that the handling of the car became poor in the last couple of months, not much grip in the corners and especially under breaking sometimes it feels like I loose control of the steering wheel.

I went to the Vauxhall garage two weeks ago to check the car but they said there was nothing wrong. Even one of the mechanics came for a test drive, but at that particular time the grading noise was not very loud and he said thats normal... The car still has some manufacture warranty left I'm thinking that VX might be hiding something.

I would appreciate if someone can advice me what else I can go with and ask VX to check or reinspect again.

    Thank you in advance

Disks have been check by VX garage and pads have 1/2 left in them.

Also, I forgot to mention some other issues I'm noticing for quite a while, break pedal vibrating under breaking (or pulsing), also sometimes gets quite firm when braking slowing.
Vibration in the steering wheel when breaking hard and also the car pulls to left or right

I really don't know what else could I say to VX as I have been in their garage a few times to inspect all issues I wrote above and every time they say its fine they cant diagnose any problems and that is with 2 VX garages in my area.

Car booked again for inspection, but I would appreciate if someone on here can advice on what would a cause of all this.

    Thanks

Has the car been sat for a long time? The discs might be corroded if the car has been sat and good long drive can sometimes clear off all the surface rust.

No, I drive it every day , over 50 miles a day. There is no signs of corrosion on the disks.

your rear disc's maybe warped which would give you the vibration in the brake pedal
a simple test to see if they are warped as you wont be able to see by eye is:
jack the car up and spin the wheel by hand and let it free spin if it squeak's in places or grabs (stops fairly quickly) then your disc's are warped

for the sticking in the morning (when cold) it may be the caliper sticking when the hand brake is applied.
when you get the wheels of just lubricate the mechanism on the back of the caliper with WD or something similar as they do tend to stick

    hope this helps

How many miles have the brakes done, maybe you just need new discs and pads all round.

As Vaux have said, they are OK (work as they should, ie, stop you) but that does not mean they can feel crap and make funny noises if they are getting worn.

Thanks for the posts so far, I will try PCMALT said this weekend to see if the disks are wraped. Maybe a silly question but can I just jack only one of the wheels and spin it ?

As for the mileage the car has done 36500 miles, I bought it 1 year old on 12000 and in the service history I found that the rear disks and pads where replaced due to corrosion on 11500 miles. I haven't changed any break pads as every time the car has been in VX garage for health check, they were showing green and in good condition.

I have just changed the whole lot on the Vec I've just bought, and its done 36k miles.

The fronts discs were shot but the pads had loads of lining. Someone did a cheap fix by just putting on new pads when it needed discstoo.

The rears looked OK, but I thought stuff it and replaced them too.

£130 for the whole lot at Vax on Trade Club.
