    Default Quick Insurance question

Basically I'm after a bit of info.

Up until today I had 5 yrs NCB. Unfortunately today my wife has crashed the car (shes a named driver on my policy). Dont think my car is going to be too expensive to fix, but the motorcycle she hit will obviously be putting a claim in.
So my question is, if my wife should be found liable for the accident how much of an increase in premium will be I be looking at come renewal time?

Depends on if the NCB is protected
If it is then no difference
If it is not, then the NCB will drop according to policy documents and that will be the increase in premium

Nextly is the liability in claim
More than likely both vehicles moving, so will be seen as an at-fault claim
This will then count as one claim and typically add 10% to the insured driver component

The best way is to wait until the matter is settled
Before settling ask for confirmation of claim and endorsements that will be applied
Once you have these put into two quotes and compare to see what the difference is

    Thank you.

Not as bad as i thought. I'm saving hard for a VXR and was just worried that because of my wifes error I wasnt going to be able to afford to insure it.
