Default Dashboard Shine/Reflection : How to remove?

My dash is very shiney compared to the door cards and in direct sunlight places huge amounts of reflection on to the windscreen which can be a right pain when driving. Its an 06 Facelift Vec.

Tried a few Matt products which help a bit but does anybody have an idea as to what will work the best to remove some if not all the shine or is it a lost cause?

    Thanks all

P.S Was unsure where to post this so went with general chat

Yea defiantly needs the build up of silicones removed. My dash is very matt, was there different levels of finish of the dashes?
