0036 pertains to the second lambda, wonder why a new ones not cured that code? you tried resetting codes by disconnecting the battery? I take EML is still on?

battery is off just now, but no the eml aint on, witch i found strange. not sure if this is anything to do with it but you get popping thru the exhauast while on idle? but sounds fine when reving. he had the timing belt changed a while back and it all started from then.

feel real bad for him, costing him a fortune but its still running gash. must admit tho it is better after the second lambda was changed. it not cutting out anymore.

Take it you've double checked the timing?

what checks were made to make you decide to fit a o2 sensor ?..was it just fit it and see or did you do any checks / live data readings ? .....ok 02 sensors can go faulty but as a rule they normally show another fault ie both sensors showing faulty maybe due to a missfire / poor running given this will throw them out of kilter .... checks need to be made to be shure it was the sensors ,to me it dont sound like its them it has another fault that needs fixing .....

im not a lets change this see what happens guy, crank sensor was changed thru advise on the forum, and i did live data reading via opcom to see that the post cat lambda sensor was faulty and not registering any change at all in the mv. also the dtc's said that it was faulty. so thought it a good idea to go ahead and change it. and it did make a massive improvement on the running of the car, no more cutting out. but as i said something is not right,

as dasarab posted up an almost exact situation on running in another thread and as the cambelt was changed and has been hellish since im assuming that it is going to be timing related. it was a homer from a guy at his work think this is going to be the root of the issue i think, but looking thru the how2 im not going to atempt it myself. dont want to make it worse lol
