Looking at getting one of these but only the 255 because of the lower tax. I know it varies because of mileage but nothing with more then about 55-60k really
cheers

Just remember its only lower tax if it was registered before april 2006. There was still some 255 being registered in 2007 on 56 and 07 regys.
Best bet is to have a look on auto trader and have a looksy for 55 regys ones if there is any.
The tax thing isnt really a killer, i set up a bank transfer £10 a week into my savings and buy the tax with that and have money left over. A tenner a week isnt a lot.
Well plus the fact i want a cheap one aswell as im trying to save up some proper money for an s4. Thought it was april
cheers
which ever one you find mate , make sure you post it up on here before parting with any hard earned ! you dont want to be buying a pup and most on here know which ones are to be avoided !
I seen one in sussex at churchs but its like 8k

It works out about £16 quid a month more in tax if you buy one after march 06
£16 a month is about 55p a day, 55p a day extra gets you the 280 version and map it for £550, which in turn will make you scrap your idea of buying the S4, thus saving you more money in the long turn
So in theory a post March 06 VXR (get a 280 version on a 56/07 plate) will save you money lol
mmm shame my insurance wont. Just got a quote..... 2199 lol. Nearly ten years driving experience 8 yrs ncb pcv and lgv licence. Having a ******* laugh. 28 yrs old.
Adrian flux quoted me £1350 for a vxr 280, 3 years ncb and I'm currently 22.
Live in london though mate . Pay nearly 600 quid for a 1.6 renault megane piece of **** so dont think im gonna get much better. Plus if i change my insurance mid term il lose that year on ncb which is why iv got one years less then my driving history already.
