If you were selling your car, do you think advertising it on autotrader would be a better place than ebay?

No experience of Autotrader, but selling on ebay is like swimming with sharks - hungry ones
It's just that I've had plenty of watchers on e-bay but few offers and when they do it's stupid offers like 'fancy a swap 4 ma corsa m8?' type of offers
the thing is with autotrader is its got so expensive to put your car on there
Yeah I know. I tried to put it in as an under 1k with the actual askin price in the description but they removed it after a few hours
You could try Pistonheads thats free unless you want a premium ad.
Or Gumtree is also free. Worth a try.
I've advertised on autotrader a few times. Always look on there when loking for a new car as well. Wouldn't even consider buying a car from e-bay or putting one on there to sell.
I've just had my 2007 1.8 estate on ebay for 4 weeks (classified ad) and autotrader for 3 weeks. Had no responses from ebay and 3 responses from autotrader and just sold it the day the ad ran out.
The price I got was the same as I was offered as px (£3900) but I was convinced I would get more privately. Oh well you live and learn!
I wouldn't bother with ebay again even though it was only about £16 for a classified ad as opposed to £45 on autotrader, you get what you pay for.
Just autotrader mate cant trust ebay.....
