    Default Tyres

hi, i have a veccy C which i think has the wrong tyres on. It has the standard SRi alloys and currently has 215/50/17's on which are very noisy. Can some1 confirm the tyre size pls.

Thats the standard size and Vectras and Signums suffer from nosisy tyres (Sort of hum/wheel bearing noise)

Its normally worse with cheaper tyres.

If you go down the route of replacing them, then consider the alternate size of 225/45/17 which are cheaper because they're a more common size.

It depends on what you are looking for when deciding between the 215/50 and 225/45 the 225 is going to be a bit noisier a bit harsher and travels 2.6% less distance per revolution. When fuel was under a quid per litre this was all well and good but if you want economy at it's best stick with the 215/50 there are plenty out there that are less than the equivalent 225/45, such as the Neuton NT 5000 many on here are adopting.
