    Default Awful grip and handling-help required

    hi there,got a 07 sri xp with 19's and the grip on the car is shocking,going round corners even at fairly low speed is nervy,not mechanical minded so was lookingfor a rough idea of what could b wrong.loads of tread on all tyres and at correct pressures.when turning right or going round a roundaboutif feels like no grip and front of car is going to slide away from me too the left.cracking car ho just not very nice to drive at moment

    Could be rubbish tyres. Possibly a broken spring or duff shocker.

    What ride height have you got - is it standard for an SRi or is it lowered?

    Was it ok before the tyres ?,if so it could be the release agent on the tyres,new tyres need a couple of hundered miles to remove it.

    Could also be bushes, Anti roll bar bushes, suspension bushes, track bushes. broken springs, shot shocks.
    If a bush has gone this will cause wallowy steering.

    You say correct pressures, what are they at as most people think around 33psi is correct when they should be nearer 40 psi.
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    Tyre pressures are 39 on front and 35 rear

    not sure what the ride height is its a standard sri xp with sports button,even going round a roundabout at 20mph the front seems to slide away
