    Default Refurb/recon 1.9 cdti injectors

    Hi to all.

    I just been told today that my current running problems has been diagnosed as failed injector. Apparently they were test via a flow test and found no1 had very little movement & no4 was giving a high reading 2 & 3 were giving above normal reading but are just about ok.
    my question does anyone no where i can get 4 refurbed injectors for a 04 vectra 150 cdti at a reasonable price..

    I presume the person/garage telling you ther knackered can un code & recode new injectors to the ecu of your car ?, if not go elsewhere.

    What colour are the injector plugs? If yellow get them changed first.

    The plugs are yellow but according to them the 3rd injector is working ok when they did their flow test & yes they can recode the injectors.However after looking around to aquire some reconditioned ones thier is one site that selling them aready encoded...
    I'll be speaking to them tomorrow & if that is the case i can do them myself at home maybe...

    Not sure how they can sell them coded as you code your cars ecu to the serial number of the injector fitted I think.

    as above the ecu needs to be coded to the injectors not the otherway round

    Most of the sites i have visited are saying that the Bosch injectors don't need encoding??.

    That link shows that you do need to encode them!

    "Our diagnostic equipment allows us to reprogram vehicles with coded fuel injectors (both Bosch & Delphi). We provide this service free of charge at our workshop for customers that have injectors serviced with us"

    Op-Com, Vaux-Com and Tech-2 have options to code the injectors into the car.

    Very true marky i think what i was trying to say is that they can pre encode them so they are a fit & go job,, but thats not the case!
