Default Vectra Design - New Entertainment system Ideas

    Greetings fellow Vectarians

Apologies if this has been covered but.....

I have a 2.2 16v Design and I am starting to think about a change for the entertainment system. I have seen some nice Kenwoods but I would like the keep the info screen going.

    Here are my requirements:

Bluetooth for iPhone (inc. Music streaming)
    CD player
    DAB Radio
SatNav would be nice (Pref TOMTOM)

Having a working MPG and fuel distance warning is handy as I do a lot of work miles (35000 Per Year, I live in my car )

    Any suggestions would be great.

    Thanks Guys

    John

The budget is upto £800 with a push to £1000 if I really need to.

This range looks cool, but does the cars display screen still work? For clarification, it is the larger mono square version.

    Thanks for the advise Wayne

Im gettin the JVC KW AVX840
It has bluetooth built in, sms receipt notification, voice recognition and a bunch of other things I dont remember. Best of all, the Motionx GPS app on the iPhone, once launched when connected by the JVC's iphone video cable, will send the map you see TO your JVC's screen (but in widescreen!). It has a 24bit DAC just like the ones in the top of the line Alpine's, along with a parametric iEQ

I'll receive it on Monday, along with the double din kit

    check it out here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPaCTi9kSg4

btw, i had bought the 117r alpine, damn thing was faulty :S so i returned it in exchange for the JVC.

OH, i forgot to mention, its front panel is detachable

Looks like a nice bit of kit. I am tempted. I might even have my spare iPod living in the car with my entire library on it connected to the system. The wife will love that!!

So does the GID work independantly from the radio but just shows the MPG and stuff?

    Did a bit more fishing and I found this;

    http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/zenec-ze-nc5010ms.html

From what I can tell it will fit ok and it will have a fully operating GID. Looking around, I have seen similar units in Vectra's and it looks ok. I was a bit worried as it has the corsa center crease but it looks ok.

Once I get it, I'll post pics.

The only thing I want to do first is a full re-map and airbox replace first. Followed by the exhaust system.

    Thanks to all the input.
