    Smile Just bought a cheap vectra..

    Hi guys I just bought a cheap vectra 2004 elite 3.0 cdti £1500 in perfect condition 65000 on the clock bearing in mind cars in northern ireland are dearer than england.

    Is there anything I should look out for or be aware of ?????

    That's a cracking price mate. I paid more than that an mine needed a head gasket.

    A think just keep an eye out for usual vectra faults. Snapped springs. Bananna arms etc.

    Think scv is a problem on v6 but am sure people with more experience of them will be able to say otherwise

    Yours maybe ok as its the 177 model not the 184?bhp model (y30dt and not the z30dt)

    However, its not unknown for high pressure fuel pumps going tits up and are fairly expensive at around £2k a pop.

    There again given what you paid for it, might be the perfect car to see what you can make from the 3ltr
