Default Help - Corsa Body work .. need talking through this.

    Hi Guys and Ladies,

Short story the Mrs`s corsa went for an MOT and came back with a hole.
Its Y reg her first car only had it a year.

Problem situation MOT expires tuesday the plan was to fill the hole in the pick with some wiremesh and fiberglass.

The Problem ? I have been investigating / cleaning the are and while doing this uncovered that the seam behind the rubber gromit around the neck has been repaired before .. and worse news that repair has resulted in the seam rotting and is now sat on my kitchen worktop in 3 sections. (missing lots as well)

Ideas on how to repair ??

Thats of for the front but there is nothing to weld onto at the back as the full rear seam is not on my kitchen worktop.

In short the hole is now the full size if the rubber gasket.

But surely any half decent body shop could patch that up with in an hour or 2. Ano your saying there's no seem. But I would have thought they could do summet.

And maybe a scrappy would let you could it out. but am guessing by time you've had hassle and price of doing that. A body shop could repair it for not much cash.
