I know that 235/35/19 is what Vauxhall recommend but is there any problems running 245/35/19?

The 235/35x19 is already a bigger dia than the basic GSI! i would not consider this worthwhile. My 452's are £27 ea more expensive!!

i changed my wheels from 16's to 19's then changed the settings with op-com to 19's. not sure if it adjusts the speedo but it seems quite accurate.

    Vehicle : Vectra

I'm sitting at the garage having my 245/35/19's fitted, 4 x Neuton NT5000

When I ordered them there was only £2 per tyre difference in price between 235/35 & 245/35 so I opted for the extra width (ooh er!) 245 will have fractionally thicker sidewall too to hopefully absorb some extra road noise and cigarette butts

I phoned them and they dont have any 235/35/19's for about 6-7 weeks which is why I asked so I will be hopefully fitting exactly what you have.

Did you have 235's before? Is there much more rim over hang/protection?

The slight increase in side wall is also a god thing, Might help to soak up the pot holes and not damage the rims.

Let me know what you think

I had a set of 245's on my last Vectra (2.2 16v) and they where great. Better handling and performance than normal.

No major difference in economy, pennies in my case but I did use Momentum from Tesco and STP booster and injection treatments.

I had Audi R8 wheels and they where the nutz.

    Do it, have fun!!

So far been on for a few days and it does grip the road better than the 225/45/17's.

And here is the GPS speed and my car's speed:
