Well after much reading and head scratching, I was all set to plump with the AA warranty. This did look good until I received and email form Warranty Direct. I had a good read and they actually cover for wear and tear. They also cover the EGR which surprised me. Their cover is far more substantial than others, fully covering the DMF clutch too.
£50 excess, unlimited number of claims per year with max single claim to the value of the car. all usual other perks like hire cars etc.

My car is 2008 CDTI 150 at 70,000 miles and my annual premium is £291.42 for 13 months! This far exceeded the AA who stated they specifically do not cover wear and tear items.

(at the mileage of my car I need to pay 10% towards parts only, so 90% covered on parts and 100% for labour)

I just got quoted £379.85 for a 2006 CDTi 150 @ 50,000 miles???

Came out the same when I changed mine to a 2008!

EDIT.. Just read, you have to ring them for other quotes as the only quote the give you is "The best level of cover we offer"

Why dont they just give you all the prices!

You will receive a phone call, my online price was £389. They re-quote on the phone and thats what came back. Are you listing independant garages also rather than franchised dealer for the repairs?

has anyone actually claimed off these i have a 2007 sri cdti 15o and dmf has started making a noise so thinking about the warranty to get replaced when gets worse got 51 k so shud be coverd 100% parts and labour

Not that I know, but they are one of the few or only that cover the DMF clutch and wear and tear items. All you have to do is get the car to the appointed garage, have the fault diagnosed, the garage calls Warranty Direct and advises them of the fault and they look to see if it is covered.
