£1.50 for them to send me a text and I have to re-register each year? Lol, think I'll just stick to wondering if it's run out or not and checking every couple of months

    Quite!

There are several free on-line services that will remind you for nothing.

Or you could set a reminder in the calendar of your choice on your phone/PC

I have a reminder on my phone that pops up 5 weeks before the MOT is due. Gives me a chance to give the car a once-over and get it booked in. Remember you can get it done 4 weeks early and keep the same renewal date

I reckon its just another scheme for the government to squeeze every last frigging penny out of any motorist possible.

Seeing as you pay an MOT, you'd think they'd send you a renewal reminder for free, just like the Tax Disc one. Having said that, this too may become chargable knowing our luck!

Easy way, just put the sticker on the inside of your windscreen, or better still, put an alarm in your phone!

    Bye bye Vec B
