Default CD70 iPod options - bluetooth question

I've got the CD70 unit in my car but no bluetooth. Am I right in thinking this means I can't use kits such as parrot, IOplay??

I'm really struggling to decide what to do.

I want to encorporate my iPod. I want good quality sound so not keen to use any of the fm transmitter type things given that most people seem to say there is some interferece/hiss. I don't want to change the head unit because I like having the use of the on-board computer.

    Any advice?

If you change the HU from the CD70, you wont loose the on board computer.

Things like the I/O will work fine even though you dont have bluetooth.. However i am lead to believe that the i/o will only play from the front speakers and not the rear.

Your best bet would be the Parrott MKi9200. It will interface with the CD70, will give you handsfree calling, a connection for your ipod/iphone along with the ability to play music via SD card and USB stick. And, the quality is not half bad either. Oh, and its real easy to install!

    Alright pal,

Ive just installed the Parrot MKi9200 on my CD70. Its brilliant. Word of advice though, if you do buy one. Do not buy a cheap SOT cable. Go with a genuine Autoleads one. I had loads of trouble installing it due to a poor cable. Dead easy to install. Got Bluetooth, iPhone control, 3mm jack and USB in now. All in the armrest console

It's the Parrot kit, or similar, that gives you the bluetooth. It connects via bluetooth to your phone, and via leads to your radio. Your ipod plugs into the parrot so it's a direct connection to the stereo, not via bluetooth or FM.
