Default U480 Code reader = Gutted

Well bought a code reader to try and find out the error code when the spanner light comes on when putting the Air Con on, after reading some of the posts on here about working with the Dti's, picked it up from the sorting office this morning, read the instructions on how to use it, went through the screens and finally came up Linking Error!, must of tried about 3-4 time but same result.

Anyone know what reader will work on the Dti's or will it be near impossible to find one without spending silly money.

Any help will be much appreciated.

    Regards

    Dave

I never found one when i had my 53 plate dti, even some of the expensive snapon kit wouldn't link up... maybe opcom will, hopefully someone on here has found something cheap that will.

Hopefully, I only bought it as seen posts from members about it working on there 03, 02 Dti's.

Looks like this one will be in the for sale section as soon as I can get a pic of it.

Code readers such as this normally only read engine codes too so it may not have been able to read an A/C code or airbag code etc.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

I used Opcom on my 51 plate 2.0 DTi Astra and it read and cleared the codes. Expensive code reader though.

That model of reader works perfect with my 1.9CDTi. Maybe not suited to your car or maybe a duff unit.
