my car comes with auto wipers as standard (2003 1.8 active). would it take much to add auto lights aswell, or is just not worth the effort?

not sure what is involved in a retrofit tbh, although it can't be much more than a swap of switch & tech 2 session as you already have the auto wipers & the ambient cockpit lighting... if it is too much trouble then LMF sell a valeo auto light kit
ambient cockpit lighting, whats that all about? discovering new things with this car all the time lol, just found out the windows will shut if its rains
Well the car beeing a 2003... you would need to change/alter the following things...
Windscreen
Rainsensor
Roofloom
REC
BCM
Lightswitch
Mainly you have to change alle the parts to a facelift.. that meaning you will also have to change other wiring to get some stuff working again....
being the active model you should have auto dim mirror & under the mirror is a little orange glowing light which comes on as the outside light gets dimmer... it usually makes the chrome topped gear knob glow orange lol... imo this system should be auto light ready

yes but lightsensor didnt come out until model year 2005.. the car isnt ready.. ive checked it on mine being a 2004 that wasnt new enough..
if that's the case then how does the ambient cockpit lighting work, which is available on pre facelift, doesn't a preface elite have auto light's?
If not then the valeo kit from lmf is the way forward
Nope there wasnt autolights on the prefacelift elits.
but yes its duable with the LMF kit.. (have thought about that.. but i would be abel to wire it in.. as i wouldnt be sure where to wire it..)
