    Default HID's

Mornin all, Got me hid's landing today, heard a few guys on here havin probs with strobbing etc, hope i dont come across these issues. Nervous as hell when it comes to fitting them, not very good with the spanners, can just do oil and plugs at a push. Any body wana throw advice my way? I believe bumper off is best with facelift? cheers.

    Nothing to worry about.
I did mine without taking the bumper off.
On the passenger side remove the pipe for the screen wash.
On the driver's side remove the airbox - easy to do.

You get pretty good access for the main beams, unless you have shovels for hands

I'm pretty big, and it was easy.

    Good luck.

    I prefer bumper off method.

When wiring up the HIDs, remember, unlike bulbs which will still work if the polarity is reversed, HIDs won't. You need to make sure +ve goes to +ve, and -ve goes to -ve.

I'd go bumper off too,.. also,.. inner winds proved to be not draughty enough and so the ballasts were condensating and finally failed. Now mounted on the crash bar leg and working wonderfully.

Well there are in and working, look boss in daylight so cant wait for tonite, I done what watchman said and it went smoothly, thanks. Bumper off would of been last resort. nearside ballast is in the battery tray and offside under the headlight, kind of. amazed how simple the whole process was, and thanks to all the posts now and before for making it alot easier.
