Light pattern: is it right????

a few weeks ago i noticed that my car lights up strangely with the high beams on but until today i spent some time to check everything.

i checked on my garage's wall that the left side high beam was illuminating different than my right side so i replaced both bulbs but there is a noticable difference between both sides.

is this normal so the left side (drivers side in my country) doesn't proyect light as "concentrate" as the right side???

Aslo could someone tell me if my lights are properlly aligned?

it is usual for one light to be at a different height than the other..it's so you can get a good illumination of the kerb/verge side to see if anyone is on the sidewalk at night, but without dazzling oncoming drivers..

at a range of 6 feet there is about a 3" difference in the centre of the beams on our cars, but our's are left beam high, whereas yours should be rightbeam high..

but thats what stranges me. my drivers light specular appears to be bigger than the right one, maybe it is bigger so it doesn't concentrate to much light in one area and consecuently glares less than the right one.

i will check with my friends if they feel that way when they are driving in front of me...
