Clunky knob

My gearknob clunks,i'm guessing it needs reglueing.Anyone else had this problem on there facelifts,as i know my pre had a different knob.

Mine came off in my hand whilst driving, it fits on a tapered spline.

Think it was the warm weather, it worked loose just tapped it back on with a soft hammer, job done.

Mines came off moe times than enough and it ended up cracking the insert on top so I replaced it with a prefacelift one.

yeah its happened on both my facelifts

as said previous just tap it back on or glue it which is what i did on my first vec

on my current one it just tapped back on and doesnt move now

Mine does the same waiting for it to come off so i can glue it on.

I just wacked mine with the palm of my hands, hurt a bit but sorted it.

my knob comes off in my hand once a week ...

a bit scary at any speed , taking my eyes off the road to see where my knob has shot off to ...

usually between my lasses legs on the front passenger side floor ...

when talking of glueing , do you mean just under the top of the knob , because i assume you have to leave room for the reverse gear spring ...
