Default Running VERY lumpy 1.9 cdti 150

Hi after some info if possible to see if anyone has had same sort of problems ?

Driving along on the motorway at 70 and my spanner light came on aswell as loosing power, the spanner light went out and engine management light has came on,I had power but not alot

If it was a petrol I'd say I had a plug off

On tick over the needle sits perfectly straight, but you can hear and feel the car running lumpy even more when trying to accelerate

I'm at work all week so earliest I'd be able to get the car plugged in would be the weekend and dont want to drive it anywhere incase it does more damage

Have you checked the vac pipes for splits / perishing? This can be enough to put the light on / limp mode

this is caused by the 3rd injector plug.

what colour are the plugs on the injectors, yellow or blue?
If they are yellow then a modified plug for injector 3 will be needed from VX costing £10 or so.

Its a know fault with the CDTi 150 and caused by airflow over the engine degrading injector no.3 wiring/plug

All pipes look fine no splits etc

Still on a yellow third injector so hopefully this is the problem (fingers crossed)

Regardless if the field remedy does not sort the issue the plug still needs to be replaced. My money would be that the modified part will sort your issue. Had the same with mine

I had similar problem, Try bringing the revs to 1k, if it kicks quite badly then its faulty injectors. Beware tho, I had the new wiring, had to get all 4 injectors refurbed (cost about £120) runs like new now

Big thanks to Tony-1977 for popping over and plugging my car in

    Really appreciate it mate

If I let car run on idle it runs lumpy but while moving the 3rd injector plug the idle runs smooth

Looks like a trip to vx tomorrow, thanks for help and info guys

Knew as soon as I heard it that it was the injector wiring. Hope you get it sorted soon.

    All sorted now

My lights still on will I need that reset or will it possibly go out after a decent run ?
