    Default Bulbs!!!! Aaaaargghhh!!!

I love my vec but I have had her since Feb of this year and so far I have had to replace 2 x brake light bulbs 2 x side light bulbs and now this morning a low beam bulb has blown! I've never had so many bulbs blow in such a short time. Now it appears that you have to be a member of MENSA to change the damn thing lol. It is behind the washer bottle. Does any one know the best way of getting to it please? And does the plastic cover just screw on and off? Has any one else had this problem with bulbs? Or am I just a Jonah? Thanks for your help

the top tube part of the washer bottle neck, just pulls out from the rest of the washer bottle. then you can get to the bulb easier. just dont drop nothing into the hole it that it comes out of

    Its an interference fit.

Pull up and twist at the same time.

I think it tells you in the handbook how to do it.

Air box out, or bumper off to change the offside bulbs. Personally I prefer the latter. Not as difficult as it sounds. Plenty of how2's around the forum showing you, er how2.

I agree with the bulb issue... Changing them is fine. Its just the fact of constantly replacing blown bulbs.

I've had, both front low beams blow, 1 brake light, and a fog light blow in the past 2 months.

I don't know what it is, but Vectras seem to just eat them.

Touch wood, car is coming up to 5 years old. In that time:

One blown tail/brake light bulb last year.
Dipped beam bulb at approx 3 yrs old, followed approx 6 to 7 months later by the Osram nightbreakers failing within a week of one another. That's when I replaced the dipped beams with HIDs.
    One front sidelight bulb.

The rest of the bulbs are the originals that it left the factory with. Mine obviously isn't as hungry as yours
