Signature Pics with moving bits?

Hi there. I'm new to the forums and am mighty impressed with the moving signiture pics some of you have, so impressed infact, that I want one (just the same when I see a nice car).

Can anyone give me a brief pointer as to how, and with what package you can create them? I am pretty much into computers, and messing about with images, but never created one of these animated thingies.

Also, what's best way of sharing pics of my car? There seems to be a few different ways. Thanks a bunch.

the guys who do the animated gifs use photoshop i think - i'm not clued up on it at all, although i would very much like to be.

as for showing pics of your car you can upload them on showoffyourcar.com, there is a dedicated folder on the site

I've never mastered Photoshop or Fireworks either Tried and failed many times (my 15 year old son did mine)

Thanks Harry. I do use photoshop, but only for still images. I'll have to look a bit deeper and see what I can find.

You have to use the ImageReady element of photoshop to do the animated gifs... real easy when you know how, but very complicated to explain!!!!

if you've got Photoshop, then you'll have ImageReady (as long as it's not a really old version) - that'll do the animated GIF's no problem. Just make a series of frames to make the animation. There's a tutorial on it under the Help menu (in CS2 anyway).

Thanks Guys, that was the pointer I was looking for!I've got photoshop 7, and just checked and its got image-ready, so give me a a few days (well, late nights), and I'll be back with a stunning technicolour animated signiture (and a headache probably).
