Default Never will I buy a black car again.....

Ok chaps, sick to death of my car. I can spend hours and hours cleaning polishing glazeing waxing. I don't under stand how people can do a proper detail every couple of months! Every single time I wash it I have to dry it, other wise watermarks and looks like I should not of bothered! Then every time I've dried it I have to at least polish it! Cos it looks a state.

Just spent this morning in the garage doing all this, looks amazing! Until it hits sunlight! I am haveing a good guess I don't know what I'm doing properly just want all m hard work to pay off for at least a week and 1 wash!

Looks great from a distance but up close it just seems like I'm letting it down. Was thinking of going heavy witha da but more than likely rip the paint off. So at the moment I've lost all faith in cleaning my car properly need to attend a meet with folk with the idea! Got most of the gear lol any way I'm just moaning I suppose. Back outside to see if I can sort it out fOr the 3rd time this week

Trust me man spoke to the wife bout it, but just cant muster the free cash for the journey. Hence my names not down if I was running a derv would nae be a problem. Hoping someone nearer by is game for it or even mine. But waiting till you chaps have had yours first. No point setting up a meet round the same time.

    Joys of a guzzler lol

What you using to dry it? When you was your car do you rinse it using the spray end of the hose? What I always do is rinse it with the spray end then remove the spray end and reduce the water flow and holding the end of the hose chase the excess water away. What Wax you using on your car? On highly waxed paint work the water should chase away leaving very little to cause water marks. Have you thought about using AG Aqua wax to dry your car? Ive not tried it but by all accounts good at what it does.

That's they way I rinse it, sure it was you who mentioned it before and where I got it from. Leaves little to dry but still water spots and streaks all over it. Got dodo juice soft wax just now but been useing a turtle wax liquid wax recently as I don't get smears with it. Hence probbalbe application failure on the dodo. Been useing Megs UC to try and sort some of the paint out but I seem to make it worse. Wife says it's looks fine! Maybe I'm being to picky with the age of the car

Yup a trick I learned from sir bob of signum a while ago. While still wet spray over with a finishing spray of some sort I use reglaze, then dry with a microfibre towel.

The way I see it, black cars look absolutely amazing when clean and rubbish when dirty. However I think that is better than a silver car because I think they look pretty simular whether dirty or clean.....
