    Default First Mod

After reading a load of threads on here (to convince myself it was a good idea) i decided to carry out my first mod today. I bought a k&n panel filter and de-restricted the airbox.

I bet its a slippery sloap from here on in.

Ive just noticed ive been promoted to Vectra-C Regular

God, when I first got my Aprilia RSV Mille a few years ago and joined the owners club forums, I went through exactly the same thing as far as mods go.

Told the wife that I was happy with the way the bike was and wouldn't be adding to it.

Then came the Evo airbox kit. Then the double bubble screen. Then the race can. Then the change of gearing/sprockets. Clear indicators. Small number plate and tail tidy. Crash mushrooms.

Then I found carbon fibre stuff. Ohhh!!!!......Carbon rear hugger, carbon heelplates. Carbon swingarm cover.

    Scottoiler.

The list goes on and on.

Since buying my Vec and coming on here, I'm seeing a similar pattern starting to emerge!!!.

Already got the Irmscher doorpins. Butchered the airbox. Ordered a K&N filter. Searching for an Irmscher grille and 19" Snowflake alloys. Trying to decide what tuning box to go for.

It's gonna cost me yet another fortune, and to think when I first got the car a few weeks ago, I turned to the missus and said "No dear, I will not be modifying it in any way, shape or form......I like it just as it is!!!!".
