    Default It's wasted on me....

I was just thinking -The last half dozen or so cars that I've had have had cup holders. The Octavias had a cool one that folded out of the centre console. I had a Volvo where it popped out of the dash. My Omega had a centre console that unfolded to give you a double one, and the Signum has one in the centre console, and two in the travel assistant. And I've never, in my life, put a cup in one!
Same with the fag lighters. They always live in the door pocket, and something else is plugged in. I've never lit a cigarette with one -or even used one.

So, which bits of your car have been carefully designed and crafted, only to be totally ignored by you?

My vec very thoughtfully came without any fag lighters. As I don't smoke, that leaves me 3 neatly covered accessory sockets to use how I wish.

    Good old Vx

    The drivers airbag....

I'm sure a lot of time has gone into designing it, and I have no interest in ever seeing it

In fact it is something I would actually go out of my way NOT TO USE

    - The ash tray.... being a non-smoker, its useless.
    - The plastic valve cap remover.... never remember I've got it, so it doesnt get used.
    - Rear Seat hatch for putting ski's through - totally useless !!
    - Petrol Cap holder.... never gets used... too fiddly
    - Philips Screw Driver in Spare Wheel Well.... Whats that for then??

Other than that, my vec bits and pieces get used all the time
    Bl00dy good car !!

    * Have to 2nd the Plastic valve cap remover. never remember that it's there so it doesn't get used.
    * Ash trays - total waste of time as don't allow smokers in the car. Front one has this has become another storage area
    * light switch - used once to switch it into auto mode. never touched it since
    * Front cup holders - never use them to hold bottles etc. only sweeties as bottles get in the way when changing gear, however, use the rear ones all the time.
    * Tool kit (jack etc) why have AA membership and do tyre changes etc yourself.
    * Fan speed control - always set on auto.

Think that's it for me. Everything I use......I think

Ever tried putting a cup in the (alleged) cupholders? Useless.
Even got the one that fits in the arm rest - even worse.
Ashtray is where my euros are kept and the above (alleged) cupholders is where my proper money lives.
Drink bottle lives on passenger seat - passenger gets a bit p!!ssed off but they can always walk
Fag lighter - don't have one, but the socket charges my daughter's MP3 player (I just burnt them all onto CD and play them back like that)
Rear drink holder? Useful for.......something I suppose
Had 3 Vec B's and never ever used the tyre cap holder -or the filler cap thingy either. Just put it on top of the car where I could more easily drive off and forget it.
Ski hatch - now that is brilliant - I can get my dinghy racing sails in the car fully rolled without creasing them.

Every modern car has decent cupholders, even my old ren - no had them so why not VX (due to a pituitary failure I need to keep constantly rehydrated, which is great at beer o'clock unless you are buying) and they are of particular importance to Suffolk gorillas, sad though that may be.

Yup, its in the petrol flap, its like a little ridge with two notches in it. Your petrol cap slots into it to keep it out of the way whilst filling up !! - flippin fiddly though

    Cupholders?

Mine are in the base of the rear seat. Figure that out!
