Whats This Plug For

I have recently been having issues with the abs light on, so was cleaning the plugs hoping that would work.

Getting on with the job, i found this plug tucked behind the suspension strut and wrapped in insualtion tape?! Anyone know what its for and where its meant to go, looked everywhere for a plug for it to go in and cant find anything.

for the lead that goes on your brake pads to show when getting low

It's your brake pad wear sensor connector. It'll be tucked out of the way as it's a standard loom that has bits on your car doesn't have fitted.

Thanks for the reply, any idea where its meant to be plugged in, wonder if its that, thats giving me a false reading on my dash.

Right ok, thanks. Maybe wasnt that plug then.
Back trying to find the problem then.

It will either the the sensor or the ring that the sensor picks up on the hub.

If the plug is correctly fitted to the seonor, i'd look at replacing the sensor.
