Default F.A.O anybody please in the know

hi all, just to cut a long story short, i parked in a multi-story today and all was fine, came back to the car everything seemed fine, went to drive off and noticed the door open symbol was on, jumed out checked all doors got back in, still on????
didnt even notice lol, i had no dashboard illuminated at all, no rev counter, no speedo, no fuel/temp gauge, the only light on was the door open?????
    Has anybody please experienced this????
i have rectified it by removing the battery for 10 mins and it sorted it so no dramas there

which brings me onto my second request, i remember a post a while back, going through listing all the trick bits the vectra can do, i.e 1 touch window up, window shut/open off the fob as removing the battery i have lost them all, thanks in advance

As for the dash doing what it done on yours, I'm sure this has done this on other vecs too - probably just a glitch. It's known for the instrument binicle to die while driving and then resurrecting itself again. Sometimes is takes the battery to be disconnected.

marc thats the one pal, but it does'nt explain how to do it i was thinking it did

gazza its never done it on me before, ive had the power steering just stop working and the light come on just randomly during a turn in the road but turning the igmition off and on sorted that and its never done it again since, i had the engine management light on last week for a random 24 hours but went out on its own accord the next day, but this today was totally random!
we had a thing in the paper local to us a couple of years ago when a load of cars were randomly cutting out on a town street, something to do with a mast that was interfering with the cars immobiliser, but part of me wonders if somebody has tryed to pinch it (long shot i know) but it was fine when i pulled up????

For windows, you press and hold remote as if you were locking/unlocking car but for longer. My Facelift only shuts windows, a pre would open as well

Have you reprogrammed the one shot press for the Windows? Open window holding button down, close window holding button down and keep it pressed for an extra few seconds (3 or 5?) - you may hear a slight click.

This should reset the single press open close from the switch and may also sort the open/close via the fob.
