Vectra 1.9 Gearboxes...

I recently purchased an Astra 1.9 150bhp and the gearbox went on it so ive been refunded for the car. This is a common fault on the Astras and I was just wondering if it was the same case with the Vectras?

I had a 1.9 cdti 150bhp before the Astra and had no problems in that area with it!

if im correct the Astra runs the M32 box while the Vectra runs the stronger F40

The 'F' numbers refer to the torque they are spece'd at.

The higher the number the stronger the box.

Don't knock paper - most auto transmissions have paper clutches in them.
