Default White smoke after intercooler hose off

Hi All should i be worried here or am i being a bit paranoid? Intercooler hose popped off last night and black smoke ploomed out of the back until i pulled over and reconnected, The jubilee clips would not tighten back up so on the way to get new clips this morning i pulled over a few times to check and the hose was nearly off again, After fitting new ss clips car felt very good but pulling away from lights down the road there was a cloud of white smoke in the mirror, Got home left it a bit and got the missus to start the car and no smoke came out until she revved it hard and after releasing the accelerator it stalled and a bit of white smoke came out this happened 3 times and then it was fine even revving it all the way to red then idled fine??
Any suggestions or reassurance would be a bonus. Thanks Tommy

Forgot to add coolant looks v clean as does oil and levels seem the same

temp gauge not worming now and i am assuming this is related can the thermostat cause any white smoke when moving off??

White smoke dissapears quickly and am praying it aint head gasket related thats why i want to rule out a link between intercooler hose being off and on and the thermostat. Big Thanks In Advance For Any Pointers

Hi Tommy and welcome,it's a fault with the charge hose coming off.if you just refitted the hose, remove it clean inside of hose and clean flange with brake cleaner /petrol ect or the hose will probably come of again
.the smoke was because their was not enough air to burn the fuel correctly,,
I think maybe you are being a little paranoid as you say,as for the temp guage check you haven't caught the wiring harness on the coolant sensor when you refitted the hose and pulled it off the sensor

hi jb Thanks for pointers and some relief only had it a month so just thought the worst straight away, update is took hose in question off, cleaned connections and emptied a full can of carb cleaner into hose in kitchen sink before letting dry & refitting, Pulled off as fast as i could and missus said no smoke whatsoever plus drove for around 15 minutes and as i was pulling back up outside house temp gauge was on 70 so will sleep alot better now. Cheers jb if it want for your comment i would'nt of took it for a spin and wiggled the sensor. Cheers Mate
