Default Ticking noise v6 cdti engine

Hi guys wondering if anyone could help with ideas what problem might be
My v6 has a ticking noise a lot more noticeable when hot.
I think it could be injector related as my rev gauge fluctuates by about 15-20 revs.
I've listened to each injector with a large screwdriver and they all sound near enough the same. So I no I need to perform a leak off to test to gauge their condition accurately. But was wondering for other ideas before I have to pay a gauge for this test as I don't have a leak of kit.

Bit of back ground info, I bought the car on 102k needing a headgasket I changed headgaskets an belts etc. It's now just shy of 106k runs absolutely great bar this annoying ticking sound.
One of return coolant hoses has swelled slightly as seen in the video. I have lost a tiny amount of coolant in the milage coverd from this pipe a new one has been ordered.

I've included a video of what car sounds like once warmed up.
    <a href="http://s287.photobucket.com/albums/ll142/critchleyal/?action=view&current=5022299c.mp4" target="_blank"><img src="http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll142/critchleyal/5022299c.mp4" border="0" alt="Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos" /></a>

    And another
    <a href="http://s287.photobucket.com/albums/ll142/critchleyal/?action=view&current=249318a4.mp4" target="_blank"><img src="http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll142/critchleyal/249318a4.mp4" border="0" alt="Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos" /></a>

And here's a video of engine before the headgasket was changed
    <a href="http://s287.photobucket.com/albums/ll142/critchleyal/?action=view&current=IMG_0628.mp4" target="_blank"><img src="http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll142/critchleyal/IMG_0628.mp4" border="0" alt="Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos" /></a>

Maybe unrelated, but I had an MG ZS 2.5 V6,and about 2 months after the ticking noise started, my timing belt chewed through the pulley housing-not repairable. My revs fluctuated as well so I dunno if u want to take a look at that.

Might be my hearing but seems worse opposite side to pulleys :s

What's best way to check them? Does timing belt need to come back off?

Noticed the mileage is 102K miles
    When was the cambelt changed?
Was just the cambelt replaced or was the kit fitted?

Your eyesight must be good if you can see a variance of 15 to 20 revs on the tachometer!
Can you descirbe the variance, does it wobble, click, or erratic?
If you raise the revs in neutral does the variance continue?

Full kit was replaced when head changed ie new idlers belt and tensioner aswel as aux belt

I had it plugged into diagnostics that's how a could see the variation of revs
If you rev then revs as normal

It fluctuates just very slightly ie up and down on the same point if that makes sense. think you can just about make it out in the first video

You are always going to get a variance in the revs, due to the toleranaces
You would really need to know what these are before determining if there is a fault that needs investigating

The analogue tachometer is +/- 100 units , so +/- 50 should be well within normal operation

My tachograph needle clicks/jumps in neutral, but you need to be close up and concentrating to see it occur
The diesel specialist I use could not find anything wrong, he suspects the sending unit has simply become contaminated during the cambelt change

Yeah I agree I'm not to fussed about the needle moving as it's such a small variation it didn't concern me that much it's the ticking that I want sorted. And mentioned the variation in revs incase that had any link to it.

So does yours move the same? Ie mine idles at 900 revs and the needle will fluctuate up an down on the same the point.

Also does everyone agree there is a ticking noise in my engine an it's more than likely the pulleys?
