Default Signum feels funny over bumps

Hi I have just bought a 2004 Signum 2.2 direct.

It seams to have a problem as when I hit a pot hole or go over rough surface the car feels, well just not right.

Anyone else had similar problems or maybe help me.

I am going to jack it up and feel all the wheels for excessive play, when it stops raining that is....

The rear upper suspension arms (Banana arms) wear and cause 'odd' feeling at the rear.

I have just jacked the car up and all 4 wheels feel ok, no play in them, well slight play in the 2 front but not bad at all. I pushed the rear down and the shockers didnt hesitate to put back up. When jacking up the rear shocker creaked slightly.

I have looked on direct gov website, it gave fail 2 years ago about both rear springs then was re tested at same place with a pass, so you would think they were re placed, plus I felt them and they did feel solid.

If it is the rear upper sus arms, what do I do to test them, would the wheels feel looses when moving in arms.

Check if the rear tyres are wearing unevenly. Mine are wearing on the inner edges, and there's very slight play in the banana arms. I changed my springs last week, but the back end still feels slightly loose when going over bumps. I'm expecting my banana arms to be delivered this week. Hoping this cures it.

I think you need to test the rear arms with the weight on them.
