Hardly any power gains from the 1.8 I'm afraid. If you want more power need another car minimal gains from a zorst and air box mod. Few have had them mapped but pound for bhp ratio is not worth it IMO.

I think with the two mod listed above and a decent remap possibly looking around 165bhp tops, other than that it will start getting serious cash thrown at it. I know the car is stated to have 140bhp but a few that have been on the rolling road have produced a bit more than that standard, my mates astra 1.8 VVTi did 146bhp standard.

Superchips do one but its only a 7bhp gain for nearly £300.

Hello all, this is my first post, not got round to introducing Thread to much reading to be done.

Been through the 1000's of 1.8vvt threads mainly same advice about air box, filter and exhaust.

Re-map not worth it, but if you read the post in the link about 165bhp is it not worth it????

I'll be looking into this now, didn't think it could be done. I'd be happy with getting 165bhp from my vvt

Regal do it for £300 + vat, as you can see from the mail below.
Mine was the first vec they had done , so took all day.
My mods before map = duel exhaust,K&N filter, Air box mod.

    After map 165 BHP 148Torque.
Mpg is the same or maybe a little worse.
Regal are ok , but have the rolling road before and after (and owner chris is a right grumpy bas.ard)

    Hi John

Yes!! Software is available. 15/20bhp gains with Shell V-Power.

    1, Power extra 15 + Bhp/ Torque gains 20 ft lbs.
    2. Higher rev limit 7250 rpm
    3. Better throttle response
    4. Better MPG in top gear cruising
    5. custom map for you mods.

Needs ½ days notice, can do this while you wait!
Cost £296 inc vat. Hope this helps.

    Regards Chris
