i have been told lowering the vec C's throws the handling out the window but i would of thought 40mill drop all round would be good for style and handling or am i being a novice again

Well I lowered mine which was an exclusive trim and it improved the handling, but then again that could just be because it sits higher than an SRI.

If you have standard non SRI shocks you won't notice anything and will throw the geometry of the suspension out the window. If you have a non SRI then invest in shocks too.

Your right, lowering a Vectra C does throw the handling out the window.

Reduces the standard massive amounts of understeer, gives you better steering feedback and looks a whole heap better, not to mention, lowering the centre mass of any vehicle is always a good thing.

Having had mine lowered yesterday on 30mm Eibachs at the back and 30mm Supersport coilovers at the front I can confirm that it just flys round bends now. Not even a twitch.

lowering will only knacker the handling if done to too much of an extreme or it is done stupidly, yes it will trow your geometry out but some front camber bolts and a decent laser alignment will sort that out no probs
