    Hi guys, i've recently braught a das6 and the meguiars cutting, polish and finishing pads, i have tried ultimate compound and poor boys ssr3 on the cutting pad but i cant get rid of my swirls, i am based in swadlincote and i will be so greatful if someone could come to the rescue it's really annoying me now, here is my collection of goods. cheers Lee

    Have a look on the detailing forums, some of them have "how to's on using a DA. If I were closer (and not also a beginner) I'd show you. You need about 5 passes over a couple of square feet at a time, you can see when it's done. You get different grades of cut on polish and pads, should be starting with mildest and then trying next one down if not enough. I find weight of machine adequate, no need to lean on it. Think I used mine on speed 3?

    well i tried an area about one square foot, i started off with speed one and went to about speed 4 or 5 i think and i tried several passes going left to right then up and down, tried applying different amounts of pressure, and i worked it until the polish went sort of clear if you understand me and the area i have done has now gone a lighter colour to the rest of the panel but is still covered in swirls, cheers Lee
