    Default Van advice

I have been given the task at work of purchasing a new van or if we get a deal maybe 8 new vans. We currently have an 07 sprinter and a x reg sprinter (to be replaced) and i initially thought stick to that but having driven an 07 transit hire van recently i am having a re think.

I have been looking at the relevant ford and merc sites etc but ant beat hands on experience.

It needs to take 3 full size pallets on rear and a payloaad of 1.5 tonnes without going over a 3.5 tonne gvw.

Just wondered what anyones experiences are of either as mine is pretty much all merc. The hire van seemed to have bore the years better than our merc despite having 138k on clock to our mercs 81k it had less rust etc.

    Cheers in advance

id say you would prob get more value for money with the transit (and they are bullit proof), even though the sprinter is a decent van, and the 6 speed box in the vauxhall van isnt up to much so stay clear.

Drove a VW Crafter recently that seemed nice. But also was impressed with the new transits too that i have driven. I suppose its what manufacturer you can get a good deal on.

VW would get my vote, I know alot of farriers use them and all say they are bomb proof and with all their equipment can carry a fair load too.

Cheers guys i forgot about vw will see what offers are out there. Definately giving iveco a miss though they have a couple down south and hate them.

Transits winning for me at the moment as well as they do a front wheel drive one with a lower floor as well.
