    Default Number Plates ???

Just curious, thinking of buying new number plates, Reg Number will be proper Sized font lettering and numbers, now thinking of putting my favourite team logo on the right and National Flag on the left.. IRL displayed below...............

When I go abroad, europe I'll place the magnetic GB on the boot.

Questions, have any of you done similar? whats the chances of getting pulled over, for Police on Site would really appreciate your honest input.

And finally if pulled over what are the penaltys, ie fine / points or both ???

The plates would be illegal and would invite you to be stopped and checked over, you could be given a VDRS (vehical defect rectification notice) which you would have to get legal plates fitted and then get an MOT station to sign off as been done.
If caught again with the same defect then a fine could follow.

    Many thanks.... Skidmark1 & crispy007

I wonder if any / many people have been done with proper lettering ect?
I can see how improper size lettering/numbers and italics could easily get attention

Its set out in the MOT guide lines as to what makes a plate legal, such as font, font size, spacing, makers post code and also a euro flag on the left, if a MOT'er was doing his job as per book the car would fail on the plates.

Yeah, got that, checked it out earlier, just curious as to whether police and I know it's there job, no problem with that, enforce it so stringently, so as above anyone know of anyone done for correct numbers ect but displaying incorrect logos.

Most would prob not bother as they have more important things to deal with but they would use it as an excuse to stop you if they wanted to espically if your type of driving excited them.
