    Default airfilter help please

    my k&n panel filter came today and planning to fit asap,but b4 i do that ive heard its best to "re-set the ECU" so it can adapt to the new k&n bieng put in? is this true? if so whats the best way to re-set it properly?

    If your on about big phills thread at chiped uk I think he was on about disconecting the battery after the mod is fitted.

    hi mate , i just put mine on a couple of month ago and it was fine straight away , wouldnt worry about ecu resets or anything, i think it can take a few miles to settle down whilst the ecu gets used but nothing major , sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong m8

    I fitted a filter to my 2.2 dti but didnt do a reset, car seemed fine until i went full throttle then it seemed to hold back. did a reset yesterday and now its fine and seems to run better. i recommend do this
