Vectra CDTI SRI 150 rev problem

My vectra has been running great until the other day, it seems to have lost alot of power. It runs okay for about 15 miniutes then it goes into limp mode and will not seem to rev over 3000. Any ideas?

EGR Valve or the dreaded Swirl flaps..

What year and millage?

Does it missfire at all?

Nope it doesnt misfire at all and its 2006 with 79k ok the clock.

Have you got a malfuncion light showing?

Without having the codes read... it's just guess work.

The usual suspect however are:
EGR
Vac system
Swirl bar
MAF

Theres no malfunction lights showing at all, ive got an op-com being delivered today so will run today and post my results.

I have now ran the op-com and found 3 codes, one of whice was the egr valve which i have now removed and cleaned and after resseting the fault codes has not come up again. The other two are:
P0234-5B Boost Pressure Control Circuit Positive Deviation
P0621-01 Generator Lamp "L" Control Circuit Malfunction

Any ideas on how to fix these two?

I have also changed the boost pressure sensor and has not made a difference.

Thanks for the reply, im going to check all pipes this weekend and if need be remove the turbo and give everything a good clean. When driving i can always hear a slight whistling noise, could this possibly indicate a split in a pipe somewere?
