Default scrapping/destroying flexi on exhaust all the time, anyone else having this issue?

    Hi guys

I just had to replace the flexi join on the exhaust on my sri as it was completly mashed by mounting kerbs and speed humps which use to catch it all the time no matter how carefull i was.
Thing is, ive replaced it with a new part and straight away ive noticed its still hitting speed humps ect and its not ganna be long till it needs replacing again.
Apart from the car bein on 18inch wheels its just standard ride hieght so im miffed as to why its doin this all the time
Ive had lowered cars that never had this issue ??
Just wondered if this happens to other peoples sri`s or just mine??
It does seem to hang low when i look underneath but i cant see anything causing it..
    Cheers rich

Thats quite strange mate ive had a gsi and got a vxr now and neither of there flexis have any damage or ever hit anything. Has a previous owner maybe lowered it?

You could always park it next the next sri you see and see if they are both sitting at the same height to get an idea.

Good thinking matey! Thing is , she doesnt seem to sit to low looking at her and the ride is quite soft still.. Maybe i can measure the distance between the skirt and the floor and post it up and see if it compares low to others on here!! I dont know anyone else who has the same car tbh so its hard to get another to judge against..

What size tyres do you have? The wrong profile of tyre will lower your car

Have you checked your shockers are ok, sounds a bit like the car is bottoming out too easily maybe. Other than that stop mounting kerbs and if its those stupid mound type speed humps try driving over them offset, one wheel over the middle instead of straddling them.

    is the exhaust sitting correctly?

Are you sure it hasn't dropped slightly or has play in it that could knacker the flixe?

Rubber hangers or steel hanging rods broke or missing could cause the zorst to sit too low.
