Default PLEASE Fitting fuel pipe help

Im having a right mare at mo, i changed fuel filter about a month ago and snapped one of the end clips because it would NOT come off, even when the filter was off the car i still cannot remove the clip.

Anyway, as the pipe is pretty much made to fit i had to put a new pipe on and as i didnt have the clips on at the time i dubilee clipped them on, its lasted for over a month now id say but it popped off other day under the high pressure, so ive got some other pipe now with the clips on but having a right nightmare trying to feed it through, its just too tight, is there an easier way of doing this? Please someone tell me im in a right stress

I may be getting this completely wrong but if your trying to push the new pipe onto the thread like connection but it won't go all the way on, try dipping the end of the hose in boiling water for a few seconds to soften it, when cooled it will go back to stiff.
