    Default Busy Weekend/ Updating a p

Had a busy weekend with the Vectra. Saturday morning saw a trip to the scrap yard to see what I could get my hands on, to improve mine. After a bit of hoking about I came home with the roof console with map reading lights, (Mine is standard single light), spare side repeaters and the 7 buttons/ blanks round the CD Unit.
As in a previous post I had said I had changed the vent surrounds, dash trim, cubby, cigarette lighter, ashtray and gear surround black so the CC metallic CD30 and controls looked out of place. For the illuminating parts i used ring reinforcers for file blocks with a wee bit of paper in the middle, so now i have nice anthracite circles hi-lighting the controls. Only the Alarm button didnt peel off properly but 1 out of 14 aint bad.
My side repeaters have been colour coded, and thankfully still flash amber.
I retrofitted the map reading lights, courtesy lights are xenon blue 501's so the give the cabin a cool blue glow when I unlock the car, it really is the little things that make a car standout.
Fitted chrome indicator bulbs in the headlights to get rid of the cheap amber look in the top sections.
Next job is the CD unit to spray black, need to find the service books because the code for the radio is in it, otherwise no music for me lol. thankfully it should be an easy job, then hey presto black interior console.
Pics will follow when the uploader is working again

6 Vectra's there on saturday, only problem is all except one was facelift so limited parts were available for my 02 model, but yeah its great, just get a hard hat and hi-vis and one in you go. I dont really mind the 40 min drive, because they are extremely good value:
wheel bearing, map light unit, air vents, dash trim, switches etc all for £60. CAN NOT BEAT THAT
