temp guage and fog light problem

I bought a sri cdti 04 yesterday and knew the drivers foglight needed a bulb as it was showing on the dash

went to check it this morning only to find that the inside is missing and only the housing is there

is there anyway to bypass until i can get hold of a light

also where would be the best place to pick a light up from recon/second hand

Also the temp gauge needle sometimes rises then drops to zero then maybe 10-15 mins later rises again then drops any iodeas on that had the rac out to give it a once over and everything is fine according to his checks could it be a sensor ??
