    Thumbs down Unlucky day! :(

Got a speeding ticket in the post today

Doing 35mph in a 30 zone. Suppose only got myself to blame though!

Gutted really, as 5 years ago I got done for doing 34 in a 30 zone, and had those points removed last month

Worse thing is, I know exactly where/when I got the ticket, but can't even remember seeing the cam-van.

So I had to ID myself as the driver, and look forward to parting with £60 in the near future, and losing my clean license for a license with 3 points on it.

    Rant over!!

not good mate, hate those vans, dont want to speak out of turn but you were probably doing about 38-39 to be clocked at 35 mph. but why do the idiots that drive at 50-60 in 30 zones never get caught see this every day on way to work.

I probably was It's on a hill, and judging by the time on the NIP, I was heading that way, ie, down the hill!

Agree about the 50/60 idiots in a 30 zone. Soooo unfair!!!!

Not so sure mate. I didn't get offered one 5 years ago when I last got caught, going 4(ish) over the limit....

Agree about the missus yapping... mine told me to hurry up!

there a fairly new thing so may not have been as widely offered back then,
the criteria in my area for getting offered a course is 20% over the limit maximum, different areas are different criteria,
the government are trying to push these courses for people just over the limit with no convictions in last 3 years, to educate rather than punish as such!

They sometimes do, you just don't see it.

Complain; attend a local resident's group meeting if this occurs close to home. They're currently called "PACT" in most of England - "Police & Communities Together" - and I'm sure there'll be a Scottish equivalent. They help set neighbourhood priorities.

Or complain via email/form on your force's website.
