Hi everyone.
I have a 1.9 cdti 150 estate (54 plate). At the moment I have the car/scanner light on, I plugged in my opcom and it came up with a fault on "exhaust gas temp sensor 1 bank 2 voltage high."
And it does show it pulling 5V where the sensor on bank 1 is just 1V. I have also noticed a cable dangling under the car around where the exhaust is. This cables insulation has been damaged and I am sure I can see an exposed wire and it is possibly damaged.
Question now. Is this the cable to the sensor that is throwing up the fault code?. Would a broken cable cause a high voltage reading?. Finally does anyone think it could be fixed.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
