    Default Next Exhaust?

    Hi Opel/Vauxhall experts.

As seen on the picture of my 8yo Vectra C, both of the iron rods (do they have a name?) connected to the exhaust have given in to rust
Frankly the whole exhaust system should be changed eventually, but I don't exactly feel like spending 3000DKK (£350) at the moment. Is is possible to change those two rods or do I have to bite the bullet and fork out the cash? In case the exhaust must be replaced, is it possible for a bright but complete amateur, like me, to do this?

Either way, can you recommend a reasonable online dealer of new spare parts? Preferably within the EU.

    Thanks for reading

Can a local exhaust supplier or fitter not weld new ones or even the old ones back on?
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

I haven't even bothered to ask. Usually even the tiniest task costs a small fortune in labor and taxes in Denmark. It would probably be cheaper than getting a new exhaust system, but I don't think it would be worth it, considering that it's a temporary solution and that I will need a new system in a year or two anyway.

Seems I can get the whole system for £150 plus shipping, that seems like a very reasonable price: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=110592519120

    Default Mysterious cable

So I changed the system and am pretty proud of myself right now But it's not entirely done yet. There is this cable attached to the old flex and I can't for the life of me get if off:

Can someone please tell me its purpose, what it's called and where to get a new one?
